Account Executive

Customer identity is at the core of nearly all business-consumer interactions, and the speed, accuracy and techniques used to collect and verify customer information has significant impacts to security, customer experience, and digital privacy. 

Journey, a Denver-based SaaS startup, has spent the last 2+ years building the first ever true solution to this problem, making it possible for businesses to build trusted digital relationships with their customers. Our sales team is led by seasoned industry veterans, and we’re now looking for a tech savvy and hungry account executive to join the team and help forever change how customers prove that they are who they say they are when interacting with businesses. 

You will be responsible for the full business development and sales lifecycle, from prospecting and research, to giving demos and progressing the conversations, to closing deals and driving implementations. The company is in a tremendous growth stage and this will be the first person pursuing small-mid market opportunities primarily across financial services, healthcare, and retail. 

  • Opportunity/Funnel/Pipeline creation
  • Lead all aspects of the sales process from lead generation through win/close
  • Work to identify market trends, best practices, referrals, and new opportunity areas
  • From cold call to sales meetings, demonstrations to negotiation with a mixture of virtual and face-to-face meetings
  • Conduct initial qualification and discovery to determine client’s current environment, potential projects, challenges and goals to determine how Journey’s solutions will help them achieve their goals
  • Work with company resources and teams to leverage knowledge in an effort to successfully lead the sales process
  • Build and cultivate relationships both horizontally and vertically through communications and conducting follow-up communications
  • Use our CRM to track all sales activities properly, keep all contact/lead data accurate, create new opportunities, and move opportunities through all stages of the sales process from lead to win/close
  • Monitor and communicate target market information accurately to management 
  • Develop deep personal expertise and understanding of company solutions
  • Participate in selected industry activities, organizations/associations and trade shows as needed
  • 2+ years experience in an outside sales role (ideally software) with a track record of success in customer acquisition
  • Entrepreneurial hunger and problem solving mindset
